The DJs of Swedish House Mafia – Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso – brought their beats to Madison Square Garden this past weekend. (Tickets sold out in nine minutes for the 20,000-seat venue.) But the December 16th show, in all its ground-thumping, anticipation-building mix, was still not the end of the night for Swedish House Mafia. They played a smaller show later that night at Roseland Ballroom, complete with pop-up champagne service. That show, called “Back to the Masquerade Motel,” was a New York take on the group’s famed Masquerade Motel shows in Ibiza.
